Joyce celebrates her 100th Birthday.
Wed 15th May 2024Beverley's Joyce Storr celebrated her 100th birthday, Graham Stuart, Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness, popped in to wish her well on her special Day.
Joyce born in 1924, celebrated her 100th birthday last weekend in the company of her many friends and relatives.
Graham visited Joyce with a bouquet of flowers from The Beverley Florist and a birthday card to wish her a fantastic day. Joyce showed him the card she received from the King and Queen congratulating her on this incredible achievement and the many flowers and presents well-wishers had sent her for the day.
When Graham asked her what her motto for life is, she said “Everyone should be happy!” He agreed that that is a wonderful philosophy for us all to live our life by.
Speaking to Graham, Joyce said: “It’s unbelievable that I’m 100 years old. I wish I was younger. However it’s a wonderful occasion which I celebrated with my amazing friends and family. Everyone should be happy; that’s my philosophy for a long life!”
Graham Stuart commented: “Joyce is a remarkable woman and I was thrilled to help celebrate her 100th birthday. She is full of energy and her outlook on life is one that we should all follow. Happy birthday Joyce!”
