Beverley Minster will once again host a very special evening this December as the Macmillan Christmas Concert 2025 returns, filling this beautiful, medieval church with music, reflection, and festive spirit — all set amongst the breathtaking display of 150 uniquely decorated Christmas trees from the Minster’s renowned Christmas Tree Festival.
At the heart of the concert will be a choir made up of people whose lives have been touched by cancer. Each singer brings with them not only their voice but also their personal story, making this a deeply moving and meaningful performance. Their songs will celebrate hope, resilience, and community, reminding everyone of the vital support Macmillan provides to those living with cancer and their families.
They’ll be joined on the night by a line-up of other talented local musicians — from gifted solo singers
to lively a cappella groups — offering a rich mix of music and festive entertainment.
And guiding the evening with warmth and humour will be firm favourite and much-loved broadcaster,
Phil White, ex-BBC presenter, who returns to host this year’s concert.
Guests will be surrounded by a forest of beautifully decorated fir trees — each one created by a local
school, charity, business, or community group. Twinkling lights and festive decorations will provide a
magical backdrop to an evening of heartfelt music and shared purpose.
The concert will also feature:
Readings and reflections that honour the experiences of those affected by cancer. A chance for the audience to join in with much-loved carols. Seasonal refreshments to enjoy as part of the evening.
Funds raised will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping the charity continue its essential
work across East Yorkshire.
