Claremont Summer Fair
Tue 10th July 2018A Beverley care home will open its doors to show off its “sensational summertime beauty” to visitors.
Claremont House, in Wingfield Way, is hosting its second annual summer fair from 1pm on Saturday July 14.
Residents and staff are busy preparing in an effort to raise funds for the residents which helps pay for things such as trips out and entertainment.
The target is to double the £300 raised last year with an array of stalls and games to attract the public.
Cheryl Bull, care manager at the home, said: “We are looking forward to the day and really hoping that this good weather holds for our residents and the local community to enjoy what promises to be a great event.
“Claremont is a stunning care home and never more so than when the sun is shining - it has sensational summertime beauty and we can’t wait to show it off to visitors.
Staff are also appealing for donations to help on the day.
Jane Spence, activities co-ordinator said: “We’d like to appeal for donations for the tombola stall to help boost what we already have.
“We are delighted that local singer, Angie is coming along to entertain the residents. 2 Chefs of Beverley will be there catering as will Fred’s ice cream.
Joy Puckering, Manager at Claremont House said: “Staff have made a great effort to stage this annual event.
“We had a great day last year and really hope that the local community will support us again this year. We are also extending an invitation to the public to take a tour of our beautiful home.”
