Beverley Art Gallery Is Calling All Artists For The 24th Annual Open Art Exhibition

Beverley Art Gallery is inviting regional artists to submit their work for the 24th Annual Open Art Exhibition, a celebration of creativity and talent.

Submissions will be judged by esteemed guest selectors invited by the gallery, more information about this year’s selectors will be shared soon.

The final selection will be exhibited in Beverley Art Gallery’s exhibition space, located within the Champney Treasure House, and will showcase a wide variety of styles, mediums, and subjects.

Prizes will be awarded by the Friends of Beverley Art Gallery who support the curators and staff at the gallery in many ways, including raising funds through membership subscriptions, donations and showing their support at events.

Visitors to Beverley Art Gallery will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant art community in and around the East Riding of Yorkshire and to view or acquire unique pieces.

Visitors will also have the chance to cast their votes for the People’s Choice Award.

How to apply to the 24th Open Art Exhibition:

  • Read through, and comply with the terms and conditions of entry
  • Complete an entry form, forms are available from the East Riding Museums desk at Champney Treasure House
  • Pay a non-refundable £5 entry fee (card payment preferred, free entry for anyone presenting a valid student ID)
  • Drop off entry form, along with artwork, to the exhibition space at Beverley Art Gallery during one of the submission dates and timeslots
  • Following the selection process and collect artwork on the agreed dates

Pick up an entry form from the East Riding Museums desk on the first floor of Champney Treasure House, or download and print at home. For those you do not have access to a printer, use the Click Print Go service at East Riding Libraries to print the entry form and labels.

Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council said: ‘’The Open Art Exhibition is always an extremely popular event here in the East Riding. This is a fantastic opportunity for people to get creative, share their artistic talents and display their works of art within the beautifully rejuvenated Beverley Art Gallery.’’
