Brewery transformed into new office

A former brewery garage on Wheatsheaf Lane, which used to be part of what is now The Beaver pub, has been transformed into a brand new office space by a forward-thinking nurse.

Janice Shaw has turned the building into the premises for her business Westwood Training and Education, which teaches health-workers all the skills they need to remain up to date in the sector.

Although the building itself will not be used as a training centre, with Janice teaching at clients' homes and other areas, having a proper base allows her to also offer courses over the internet.

The business caters for reception staff, health care assistants, practice nurses and trainee GPs, but Janice has ambitions to also expand into the care home sector.
