Public booking for Beverley Chamber Music Festival opens soon
Mon 19th July 2021Martin Roscoe and Libby Burgess invite you to Beverley Chamber Music Festival, an autumnal feast of live music in the heart of the East Riding. Join them for a musical banquet of chamber music, song, enlightening talks, and a late night event all within the exquisite medieval surroundings of St Mary’s Church, Beverley, featuring a dazzling line-up of artists.
Public booking for the Beverley Chamber Music Festival opens in under a fortnight at 9am on Saturday 31st July. You can browse the programme line-up for this lustrous festival and start planning your time at the festival here.
Soprano Ailish Tynan and clarinettist Julian Bliss will be welcomed to the festival for the first time. Watch a snippet of their performance of Shepherd on the Rock which they gave earlier in the year here. Don't miss the special chance to hear them perform it in Beverley in September.
Also making their debut at the festival are saxophonist Christian Forshaw and soprano Grace Davidson, with a late-night performance of 'Historical Fiction' - which includes this moment of serenity from G F Handel.
The star of the show is no doubt the venue - as it has been since the very beginning of the festival - St Mary's Church, an exquisite medieval building with a superb acoustic. New Paths Music's concerts take place beneath the star encrusted ceilings of its Tudor nave, and they cannot wait to be back inside this beautiful church following its latest round of renovations, and to introduce new festivalgoers to lovely St Mary's.
For now, only a limited number of tickets are on sale so that social distancing can be maintained between audience members: whilst venues are by law permitted to sell at full capacity now, New Paths Music are not yet comfortable that this is safe and want to keep people safe at the festival. They will be monitoring the situation carefully over the coming weeks and will put further tickets on sale nearer the time if it is appropriate to do so, but under current circumstances it is likely that their events will sell out very fast.
They are running a priority booking period for our Friends and Patrons. This is currently underway and it's not too late to join our supporter circle and guarantee your tickets... Join New Paths Friends and Patrons here.
