Christmas message from Chairman of East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Thu 14th December 2017Christmas means different things to different people. For me, Christmas is a time for family and offers us a chance to reflect back on 2017 and also for us to look forward to the coming year.
Christmas is a very special time for us all, a time to spend with family and friends and to send good wishes to those we care about.
I would encourage people to rally round and provide help and support where needed and think about the families living within our community for whom Christmas will be a sad and lonely time, particularly for those who have suffered bereavement over the past year and to work towards making our lives and our community a better place.
I hope this season ends on a joyful note and continues into a safe and successful New Year for you and your family.
My message to you all is not to dwell on the past but to use this time of year to reflect on the good things in life that mean the most to you and to make the most of the year ahead. and to unite to celebrate this special time of year.
On behalf of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
Councillor Caroline Fox
