East Riding of Yorkshire Council is encouraging businesses to get involved with Working Well East Riding to support their employees' health and wellbeing.
Working Well enables employers to access support around issues including mental health, menopause, neurodiversity, long-term health conditions, healthy lifestyles and health checks.
Advice, training, resources and support are delivered through:
- bringing initiatives directly into the workforce, such as Workplace NHS Health Checks or stop smoking support,
- in-person meetings and Teams meetings with other businesses creating a local network to share good practice.
Councillor Jonathan Owen, cabinet member for adults, health and care said: "Working Well will support organisations of all sizes, to help their employees mental, physical and emotional health and wellbeing. Employers have a vital role to play in providing healthy and inclusive workplaces and in turn employers will benefit from more engaged and motivated staff.
“Over 50 businesses and organisations are a part of Working Well East Riding, but we’d like to see more join that network.”
