Marching 4 Rob. Eight Hull FC fans walk from Hull to Leeds!
Mon 27th January 2020As many of you may know in late 2019, Rob Burrow the widely known and well respected Rugby League professional, was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease at the age of just 37.
In support of Rob and to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease, Allen Slinger owner of The Tiger Inn, Lairgate, Beverley and 7 other Hull FC fans have decided to march 60 miles between Hull to Leeds via Castleford on 1st and and 2nd February.
They’ve set themselves a tough task, leaving only a few weeks for training and conditioning before the event, but they’re set on achieving their goal. The team of 8 will set off from County Road, Hull at 8.30am on Saturday 1st February. Walking via Castleford they aim to arrive into Headingley, the Leeds Rhino’s home ground at 1.00pm on Sunday 2nd February just in time for match kick off between Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC.
