VPS Photographic Exhibition 2024
Wed 4th September 2024Club photography exhibition has “something for everyone”
The Viewfinder Photographic Society’s ever popular annual exhibition gets underway once
again in October at Skidby Village Hall with the usual impressive array of images that include
landscape and wildlife photographs captured both locally and from around the world.
The Society’s Chairman, David Marshall said; “The feedback we get from exhibition visitors
each year is very complimentary and spurs on our members to keep improving. The range of
images they submit for display is always diverse – there really is something for everyone”.
After its usual weekend in Skidby, the exhibition moves to The Ferguson Fawsitt Arms in
Walkington, so anyone that can’t see the exhibition in Skidby will have another opportunity in
the East Riding.
Society members are encouraged to display their recent photographs to the public at the
exhibition - one of the highlights of the club’s yearly programme that demonstrates the range of
talent within the Society.
Admission to the exhibition is free and visitors will be able to browse the pictures, vote for their
favourite images and buy from stalls selling cards, prints and gift items.
Copies of the Society’s recently published book entitled ‘Outstanding’, containing around 200
stunning local photographs, will also be on sale at the exhibition, which is sponsored by Harris
Lacey and Swain, Chartered Accountants.
The Viewfinder Photographic Society is a friendly club of enthusiasts who meet regularly to
support each other, exchange ideas and share expertise. It provides a place for members to
learn more about their photography by being with others who share their passion.
