Drama Workshops for children in the East Riding Festival of Words
Fri 11th October 2019The East Riding Festival of Words includes the ever popular Children’s Festival, and this year will see Drama Workshops for children delivered by She Productions in Beverley Library.
These interactive and inclusive drama workshops will encourage children to be creative, dynamic and empathetic, whilst also having great fun at the same time!
The workshops will use drama to lift classic and contemporary tales off the page and will explore the characters and themes of the books, bringing the world of the stories to the children.
Encouraging empathy with the characters and an appreciation of their similarities and differences, the workshops will aim to help children gain a greater understanding of what it is to be human, and enjoy using their imaginations.
She Productions are an all-female collective based in Hull & East Yorkshire who develop and produce vibrant original work driven by the female voice, alongside accessible and bespoke outreach programmes serving local communities.
They are Company in Residence at East Riding Theatre in Beverley.
