Beverley Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display Cancelled

November 5th will not be the same this year.
Beverley Westwood Lions are sorry to announce that this year’s Annual Bonfire and Fireworks Display on the Westwood has been cancelled due to the problems that COVID - 19 is causing. Whilst everyone is being asked to Social distance and follow the guidelines, it would be wrong to run such an event.
The Bonfire has run for many years and it is the first time it has had to be cancelled. It was first run by the Beverley Lions and then handed on as a very successful event to the Westwood Lions who have been pleased to carry on the tradition.
Everyone at The Westwood Lions is hoping it will recommence next year when the current crisis is under control.
It is up to everyone to follow the guidelines and help keep everyone safe, Prevent "Wash your hands", Notice "Be aware of COVID -19 Symptoms" and Act -"If you’ve got symptoms get tested ASAP. Stay home if advised to self-isolate"
