Non-runner completes London Marathon for British Red Cross
Tue 5th May 2015Beverley resident, Linda Wright, ran the London Marathon in April, despite never being one for running.
Linda is described as a ‘self-confessed couch potato’ by the Beverley Guardian, and signed up to the challenge of running the marathon just four months prior to the event.
Running for the British Red Cross, Linda raised over £2500 for the charity, which is currently helping the people affected by the Nepal earthquake.
Linda ran the marathon in a very respectable four hours and twelve minutes, comparing the exhaustion of the run to giving birth.
