Travel without limits with new bus subscriptions
Mon 13th January 2020There’s a new way to travel in the region as bus company East Yorkshire launch their new bus subscriptions.
Subscriptions are becoming more and more common, with people using them to access gyms, television channels, and even bank accounts. Now you can subscribe to bus travel, giving you unlimited travel each month, without the hassle of buying individual tickets.
Subscribers simply visit the company’s website and sign up to the zone of their choice. They’ll be sent a ticket which they can access via the East Yorkshire Buses app, which automatically renews every 30 days. There are no limits to how many times you can travel, so it’s ideal for regular bus users.
Those who sign up in January will get 10% off their first two months of travel.
East Yorkshire’s Area Director, Ben Gilligan, said that what bus passengers want has changed over the years. “Although we still sell paper single and return tickets on the bus, we find that more and more passengers like the flexibility of having a pass on their phone which they can use whenever they like. Our subscriptions mean you can sign up once and then know you’ll always have a way to travel, without having to worry that your ticket needs renewing. For people who travel a lot, it’s a great way to avoid the time and hassle of continually buying tickets.”
The subscriptions are also ideal for parents of teenagers, who can sign up to them on behalf of their son or daughter and have the peace of mind of knowing their child will always have a way to get home.
