Talented people needed as Lord Nelson Public House in Flemingate holds a Prostate Cancer Awareness Day

A fun day to raise awareness of prostate cancer and the work done by prostate cancer charity Prostate Cancer UK is in planning for October 22nd! The Lord Nelson is inviting everyone to learn more about this cancer which will affect 1 in 8 men sometime during their lifetime.
An 'auction of talents' is already scheduled. But more 'talented' people are needed to make the auction a success. Could you donate your 'talent' to this worthy cause? An hour of gardening or babysitting, maybe? Could you cook someone a meal or be a companion for an hour or two? Perhaps you are a plumber, an electrician or an accountant who could donate some time to the charity? Or perhaps you need to buy some help - do go along to find out what's on offer!
The day will also include music from local artists, a quiz and a raffle - more raffle prizes would be nice, too!
Businesses are particularly welcome - there are opportunities for them to advertise their services whilst supporting the charity.
