East Riding of Yorkshire Council encourages residents to support food banks this Christmas
Thu 12th December 2024East Riding of Yorkshire council is encouraging residents to support the East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA).
ERFPA’s network includes 13 foodbanks across the East Riding, from Goole to Bridlington, who will be supporting families facing food and fuel poverty this winter.
Every donation can make a difference, and ERFPA accept a wide variety of goods to help families in need. This includes canned food, toiletries, rice and noodles, and festive treats.
ERFPA is supported by East Riding of Yorkshire council, through the Household Support Fund. The council supplies grants as well as staff and organisational support.
Councillor Lyn Healing, cabinet member for communities and public protection said “It’s important to give back this Christmas and help support those in need. We’re proud to support the East Riding Food Poverty Allowance, and encourage residents to get involved and help this vital cause”
