Tour de Yorkshire route open to public
Tue 17th February 2015Beverley's amateur cyclists will be able to take advantage of a unique opportunity to ride the Tour de Yorkshire route on Sunday 3 May - the final day of the tour - with 140km, 100km and 50km routes going along the same route as the pro race.
They will also be able to compare their climb times against the pros, enjoy mechanical support, and have their results texted as they cross the line.
The Tour de Yorkshire will be an annual event and the organisers hope it will grow year on year to be one of the biggest events in the cycling calendar and position Yorkshire as the heartland of cycling in Europe.
The organisers are also looking for volunteers and marshals to help make the event a complete success.
