Free Online Sessions Announced For Safeguarding Adults

Partners from the Hull and East Riding Safeguarding Adults Boards are coming together to develop a programme of learning events and interactive session to support this year’s Safeguarding Adults week and the Ann Craft Trust.

Spurred on by the success of Safeguarding Adults Week 2024 the safeguarding partners have worked to extend the range of topics being covered this year.

The sessions have been designed to stimulate discussion, spark innovation and share best practice, taking place during Safeguarding Adults Week, Monday 17th to Friday, 21st November.

Each session will be delivered by inspirational and motivational speakers, all of whom are experts in their field. The programme released on 1st November. Tickets will be available on the ERSAB Eventbrite page or the HSAPB Eventbrite page

Each day throughout the campaign, the Public Health bus will be at the following locations across Hull and the East Riding:

Tuesday, 18th November, 9:30am – 12:30pm, St Stephens Shopping Centre, Hull

Wednesday, 19th November, 9:30am – 12:30pm, North Point Centre, Bransholme

Friday, 21st November, 9:30am – 12:30pm, Wednesday Market, Beverley

All the agencies involved will be sharing information across their social media channels and website in the run up to Safeguarding week and throughout the week. To follow along look for the hashtag #safeguardingadultsweek2025

Kay Durrant, Chair of East Riding Safeguarding Adults Board, said: “Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and this year we’re proud to bring together partners from across Hull and the East Riding to deliver a dynamic programme that informs, inspires and empowers.

‘’By expanding our topics, we’re building on the success of last year and continuing to strengthen our shared commitment to protecting adults at risk.

‘’The Public Health bus will also be out in the community during Safeguarding Adults Week so make sure to attend one of their informative drop-in sessions.’’
