Beverley Open Gardens Has Returned!

Beverley Open Gardens Has Returned

Beverley Open Gardens is back for its second year, returning on Sunday, 24th May 2026, from 10am
to 4pm, in partnership with BUG (Beverley Urban Gardens).

Following a successful debut, this much-loved event once again invites visitors to explore a stunning
selection of Beverley’s private gardens. From vibrant floral displays and imaginative designs to light
refreshments, each garden offers something unique, while helping to raise vital funds for Dove House
Hospice and BUG.

BUG (Beverley Urban Gardens) continues its mission to make Beverley greener, more sustainable,
and more connected. Through community gardening, urban greening projects, and educational
workshops, BUG brings people together to nurture shared spaces and inspire a love of growing.
They are a group of people who are passionate about the environment and local wildlife, working to
create a town the community can be proud of.

Their aim is to introduce underplanting in as many suitable areas as possible, particularly in spaces
that are currently being sprayed and left with yellowing. By working closely with the council at every
stage, they hope to reduce the need for chemical spraying and instead encourage more natural,
wildlife-friendly planting.

Wherever feasible, they also support allowing certain areas to naturally wild, helping to boost
biodiversity and create a healthier, more vibrant environment for everyone.

Entry remains just £5 per adult, with free admission for under 16s when accompanied by an adult.
Programmes available to buy in advance from our Beverley shop and each garden on the day of the
event.

Tiffany Brodie, Community Fundraiser at Dove House Hospice, said:

“Beverley Open Gardens showed the incredible power of community in its first year, raising just
under £4,000 to support local families. After such a fantastic debut, we’re thrilled to see the event
return even bigger and better alongside BUG. A heartfelt thank you to all the gardeners taking part,
your generosity helps us continue providing compassionate care to those who need it most.”

Whether you're a gardening enthusiast or simply looking for a lovely day out, Beverley Open Gardens
2026 promises to be a celebration of beauty, inspiration, and community spirit, all for a wonderful
cause.
