Tracing your family history

Tracing your family history is a very popular and fascinating past time – but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start. The family history courses run at the Treasure House are an excellent way to get started in your new hobby or develop your knowledge.

The next family history course is starting at the Treasure House in May. The course lasts nine weeks and is ideal for people getting started on tracing their family tree or who have been researching a while.

The course will be held on Thursday evenings and starts on Thursday 1 May.  The total cost is £50, including a pack on everything you need to get started with your family history.

This is a great opportunity to investigate your ancestry and meet other new family historians.  By the end of the course everyone will leave with the start of their family tree and a pack of information to help them carry on researching.

The course will be lead by expert tutors, who will introduce different ways in which participants can find information about their ancestors.
