Oh My Dog! Beverley Business Takes First Place at the National Dog Friendly Awards in London

Oh My Dog, a beloved small independent business based in Beverley, East Yorkshire is celebrating a huge achievement after being named First Place Winner at the prestigious National Dog Friendly Awards held in London. This recognition celebrates businesses across the UK that go above and beyond in creating welcoming spaces for dogs and their owners.

The annual awards ceremony, which took place on Thursday 21st November at the Kennel Club Headquarters in London gathered dog-loving businesses from across the UK, with Oh My Dog emerging victorious in the category of “Best Dog Friendly Shops.” The shops commitment to providing a safe, inclusive, and pet-centred shopping experience made it stand out as a shining example of excellence in the pet industry.

Oh My Dog was recognised not only for its dog based retail space but also for its innovative collaborations, and events that enhance the dog loving experience for both pets and their owners. From offering dog-friendly treats and accessories to hosting regular social events, the store has become a trusted community hub for dog lovers in Beverley and beyond.

Also representing East Yorkshire at the National event was Gallipots in South Cave who attended as a finalist and took third place in the Groomers category.

The National Dog Friendly Awards recognise and reward dog friendly places and pet businesses that go the extra mile for the benefit of the UK’s 12.5 million dogs and their owners.

Categories include Best Dog Friendly Pubs & Restaurants, Best Dog Friendly Hotel,and Best Dog Friendly Shopping Centres, among others.

Oh My Dog is located at 2 Dyer Lane in Beverley where it continues to offer a wide variety of products for dogs of all shapes and sizes. The store is open 7 days a week and new customers—and their furry friends—are always welcome.
