Dave Shackleton of Team KTM UK almost wins Yorkshire Region RR Chmpionship

Beverley's Dave Shackleton was signed to Team KTM UK last year as a stalwart of the British Cycling Road Race scene with a career virtually unrivalled at elite level. He was recently just pipped at the post to come second, with the same time as the winner from Wheelbase Castelli MGD, in the Yorkshire Region Road Race Championships, beating riders from Team Wiggins and One Pro Cycling.
The race was run over 7 laps in windy, cloudy conditions with a 200m climb to the finish.
Dave works at Wilsons Wheels on Grovehill Road when he's not training or competing and, if not required by Team KTM UK, does turn out for the Wilson Wheels/Just Beverley Team.
In the Ladies' races, Team Jadan-Weldtite Vive-le-Velo also performed well with a 3rd in the senior (Mary Wilkinson) and 2nd in the junior (Charlotte Dalton).
