East Yorkshire revamp seaside services
Thu 30th May 2019Hull-based bus company East Yorkshire has transformed its summer seaside express service for 2019.
The popular Service X21 from Hull and Beverley to Bridlington, Filey and Scarborough, which runs every day all summer, has been boosted by better vehicles and extra journeys.
As well as adding an additional journey during busy times, giving the public more choice about when they travel, the company is also running the route using modern, high-specification coaches. This means that customers using the route can benefit from air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, leather seats and a more comfortable ride.
The coaches also have a wheelchair lift, so are accessible to those who are less mobile.
The company’s Area Director, Ben Gilligan, said that the improvements for the service would make getting to the seaside a much better experience for passengers. “We know that families from Hull and Beverley love to have a day out at the coast, but with young children it can be a mission just to get them out of the house in the morning,” he said.
“By providing facilities such as air-conditioning, Wi-Fi and a toilet on board the vehicle we allow parents and children to travel in comfort, so everyone has a fantastic day out.”
Service X21 runs every day until 1 September, with an extra journey running during weekends and school holidays. Find times at www.eastyorkshirebuses.co.uk, pick up a timetable leaflet from Hull Interchange or Beverley Bus Station, or ring BusLine on 01482 59 29 29.
