February fun with Active Coast
Tue 11th February 2020This February half term, Active Coast are holding a series of nature-themed events for budding environmentalists and their families across the East Riding as part of their Coastal Explorers programme.
On Monday, 17 February, from 2pm -4pm, drop in and enjoy Beach Combing and Crafts at Withernsea Beach (meet at Pier Towers). The friendly team will be exploring the beach at Withernsea for some beach combing fun and creating key rings, jewellery and crafts with any beach finds back at The Hut. This activity is free, with no need to pre-book.
On Wednesday, 19 February, from 1pm-3pm, the fun moves to Flamborough South Landing, Living Seas Centre YO15 1AE, in partnership with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, for more Beach Combing and Crafts. On Friday, 21 February, Active Coast will be teaming up with Plastic Free Hornsea for a Beach Clean at Hornsea Beach. Taking place between 10am and 12noon, there’s no need to book and all materials will be provided. The team will meet at the chalet at Hornsea at 10am.
At Sewerby Hall and Gardens on Monday, 17 February, from 1pm-3pm, there will be Valentine Nature Crafts; celebrate loved ones by creating ‘love inspired’ art and crafts. This is a free activity, but entrance charges for Sewerby Hall and Gardens will apply. To book, or for more information, please visit www.sewerbyhall.co.uk.
