A Truly Memorable Afternoon at Beverley Minster!

What a wonderful and memorable occasion for Beverley Male Voice Choir as we performed our annual lunchtime concert in the magnificent surroundings of Beverley Minster.
We were absolutely delighted and humbled to learn from the organisers that the concert broke all previous attendance records for this popular lunchtime concert series.
The warmth, enthusiasm and extraordinary support shown by the people of East Yorkshire made this a truly special occasion for everyone involved.
A particular highlight was the breathtaking performance of our guest flautist, Lisa Morrison, whose two stunning pieces captivated the entire audience. Her exceptional musicianship, beautiful tone and expressive playing brought something truly magical to the occasion. What a privilege and marvellous experience it was to share the concert with such a gifted musician!
Under the inspirational direction of our Musical Director, Liz Wilson, and with the wonderful accompaniment of Amy Butler, our choristers thoroughly enjoyed every moment of performing for such an appreciative audience.
Whilst record attendances are naturally very encouraging, what matters most to us is the remarkable friendship and support we continue to receive from the communities of East Yorkshire.
We are genuinely honoured, privileged and humbled by that support, and never take it for granted.
Looking ahead, we have an exceptionally exciting programme of concerts planned for the remainder of 2026 and throughout 2027 and 2028.
A particular highlight of our 2027/28 programme will be the privilege of welcoming four of Wales’s most celebrated male voice choirs to Beverley — Llantrisant, Rhos, FRON and Pendyrus Male Choirs.
These four extraordinary concerts promise to be truly memorable musical occasions, further strengthening the special friendships and musical connections we have been fortunate enough to establish with our Welsh counterparts.
We feel immensely honoured that choirs of such distinction will be joining us here in East Yorkshire, and we very much look forward to sharing these wonderful occasions with our audiences.
