Beverley Parkway Cinema are screening cinema’s first animated feature, The Adventures of Prince Achmed on Sunday 17th July at 17:30, in association with Beverley Puppet Festival.
The film is celebrating its 90th anniversary and will be presented with a live musical accompaniment specially composed and performed by Chris Davies.
The film was directed by film pioneer Lotte Reiniger whose life was recently celebrated by a Google Doodle on what would have been her 117th birthday and garnered a lot of press coverage in her role in the early film industry.
