More countryside events for the summer holidays

East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s countryside access team has arranged a programme of events and activities during the school summer holidays, as part of the Kids Go Wild 2018 programme.

They include :

Minibeast Safari : Tuesday, 7 August : Humber Bridge Country Park Local Nature Reserve at the black mill on Hessle foreshore : 10am -12 noon or 1.30pm – 3.30pm : take part in a bug hunt in the woods and discover what’s hiding in the undergrowth . Make your favourite bug with wildlife artist Michele Davy. Suitable for children accompanied by adults : children £2.50 – accompanying adults free. Booking essential.
Seashore Safari : Tuesday, 14 August : South Landing Local Nature Reserve car park, Flamborough : 12noon-2pm or 2.30pm - 4.30pm : discover what’s it’s like to live on the foreshore, look in the rock pools, see what crazy beach art can be created from the flotsam and jetsam with wildlife artist Michele Davy.Suitable for children accompanied by adults : children £2.50, accompanying adults free. Booking essential.
Boggart Bumble! : Thursday, 16 August : Humber Bridge Country Park Local Nature Reserve at the black mill on Hessle foreshore : 10am – 12 noon or 1.30pm -3.30pm : meet the warden and explore the nature reserve, creating a journey stick along the way. Then create a woodland boggart – a mystical woodland creature. Suitable for children accompanied by adults : children £2.50 – accompanying adults free. Booking essential.
