January Orangery concerts at Sewerby Hall and Gardens
Fri 27th December 2019An exciting range of concerts at the Orangery at Sewerby Hall and Gardens promises to see in the new year with a flourish in January.
The first, on Sunday, 5 January at 1.30pm, will be Helen Drewery. Helen is a classical pianist, church organist, composer and piano teacher based in the Pocklington area.
On Sunday, 19 January at 1.30pm, East Yorkshire native Robert Markham will perform a selection of well-loved works from the classical and romantic piano repertoire.
The month will be rounded off harmoniously with A Cappella, an unaccompanied close harmony choir, on Sunday, 26 January at 1.30pm. A Cappella are led by conductor Ralph Earwicker and they have a wide repertoire, ranging from classical to sacred music to secular songs, specialising in arrangements by modern composers.
