Your chance to take part in Safeguarding Week 2024
Fri 14th June 2024Next week is Safeguarding Week, 17th – 21st June 2024.
East Riding Council has joined forces with partners across the East Riding and North Yorkshire to deliver a number of engaging online sessions, hosted by the Safeguarding Adults Board.
Safeguarding is a term that is used to describe the measures used to protect an individual’s health, well-being and human rights.
The sessions will cover a variety of topics including equalities in health and social care, modern slavery awareness, domestic abuse and the elderly and many more.
The sessions were so popular in 2023 that the council has decided to expand this event to include a wider variety of topics.
Not only do these sessions help those who work within the field to share ideas and keep each other up to date on the latest developments, they help the public to become increasingly involved in the topic, shaping their understanding of important issues within safeguarding.
