Cherry Burton Arts Relaunches
Wed 31st October 2018Cherry Burton Arts organiser, Martin Peirson, is delighted to announce the relaunch by welcoming The Creedence Collection at 8pm on November 24th at Cherry Burton Village Hall
The Creedence Collection pay tribute to the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty,
with classic hits including ‘Bad Moon Rising’, ‘Have you Ever Seen the Rain’ and ‘Up Around the Bend’.
Fogerty was CCR’s main songwriter, and went on to have a successful solo career with an enviable
collection of songs -many covered by other great artists including Status Quo (Rockin’ all Over the World)
Tina Turner (Proud Mary) and the Carpenters (Jambalaya -On the Bayou).
The Creedence Collection are an exceptional ‘local’ band made up of great musicians fronted by Lynn Blakeston
and Rob Nicklas, who can draw on this stunning catalogue of songs and with their tight rocky sound produce
a fantastic evening’s entertainment!
Martin Peirson added “We have been given the opportunity to host this great night -I’ve seen the band live and was really impressed with the show.”
Route De Django will launch the night with their infectious sounds of gypsy swing.
Gig-goers should bring their own drinks and glasses.
