Sinfonia Viva Orchestra present Wait What? In Pocklington
Thu 21st February 2019An interactive musical journey for under 8s with live drawings and animation
Sinfonia Viva will be presenting Wait What? at Pocklington Arts Centre on Friday, 1 March, 2019 at 1pm and 5pm.
Following the success of their ‘The Boat & The Blue’ and ‘Where’s That Monster’ shows, ‘Wait… What?’ will explore some of the biggest mysteries asked by curious children everywhere. One day Sandy realises that there are lots of things in the world that don’t make any sense – like how does the water get into our taps? And, where do clouds come from? Join in and help Sandy get to the bottom of it.
The interactive performance will feature new orchestral music to sing and clap along to, written and presented by composer Jack Ross and performed by the award-winning Sinfonia Viva. Live music will sit alongside live choreography performed by David Ogle and art projections by illustrator Eleanor Meredith.
After the concert, the audience will have the chance to take part in musical and artistic activities with Sinfonia Viva musicians, and every child will also receive a book of the story and a CD of the new music recorded by Sinfonia Viva musicians, allowing them to relive this performance again and again.
Tickets are available now priced £6 for adults; £5 for children from Pocklington Arts Centre Box Office on 01759 301547, or online at www.pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk
