Applications invited for care housing

Applications are now being invited from prospective tenants of a new extra care housing development in Beverley that is nearing completion.

Rita Hunt Court is due to open this June, offering 40 two-bedroom apartments to be let at an affordable rent with 24-hour onsite care, to older people and adults in the East Riding with a need for personal care.

The scheme will be managed by the council and prospective tenants are invited to apply as soon as possible to ensure they are considered for an allocation. 

If you or someone that you care for could benefit from moving into such accommodation, or if you know someone, perhaps a relative, friend or neighbour, who would benefit from this scheme then you can find out more at a free drop in information event taking place at The Cherry Tree Centre, Beverley from 4pm to 6.30pm on Wednesday 1 April.

Council officers will be available to answer any questions about the scheme on the day.
