And not forgetting... BEVERLEY PUPPET FESTIVAL

Here are a few things to keep an eye out for over the next week ...

Create some midweek magic… Stephen Mottram will show you how the simplest of things can be made magical when they are moved in the right way. Just five points of white against a dark background is all we need to create illusions of little animated human and animal characters which can do all sorts of things. This activity is designed for three people to do together but is still great to watch and learn from if you are a duo or alone.

ILLUSIONS WITH MOVEMENT with Stephen Mottram (of Oxford) on Wednesday 10th June, 11am.

Hop on board the beautiful pea green boat and join Owl and Pussy-cat on their adventures for a truly illuminated adventure!  Unlike the activities, this will only remain online for one week – the artists would love your feedback for this work  in progress!

THE OWL AND THE PUSSY CAT by Patrick Amber, ages 5+ on Friday 12th June, 7pm.

Time to get into a (gentle) flap! Make your own bird mobile. In this video, Thingumajig Theatre director Andrew Kim will show you step by step how to transform common household items like cardboard, string and paper into an animated bird with gentle flapping wings.

FLYING BIRD MOBILE with Thingumajig Theatre on Saturday 13th June, 11am.

Move that mouth on Monday! Make a simple muppet-style puppet from paper plates. Learn how to make them talk. With a little practice your puppet characters will soon be singing songs and dancing to your favourite music.'¯

MOVING MOUTH MONSTERS with Sokobauno Theatre / Little Fawn Caravan (of Glasgow) on Monday 15th June, 11am.
