Philip Larkin Inspired Writing Workshop To Be Run By Beverley Poet In September

Saturday, 21st September 2024 - 10:00 - 15:30, at Artlink Centre, Princes Avenue, Hull.

Come join us at Artlink Hull for a unique poetry writing workshop with Beverley based award winning poet Chris Sewart, and Philip Larkin Society Deputy Chair and Larkin Society podcast, Tiny In All That Air, presenter Lyn Lockwood. Beginning with a walk around The Avenues and Pearson Park, we will explore the world of Philip Larkin and let his works inspire you. This in-person event will guide you through crafting your own poems, exploring themes and styles reminiscent of Larkin's iconic work. Whether you're a seasoned poet or just starting out, this workshop is a great opportunity to hone your skills and connect with fellow poetry enthusiasts. Don't miss out on this chance to immerse yourself in the beauty of words.

Chris Sewart said, 'This will be a workshop of two complimentary halves. First, the chance to visit the locations and hear, and find out more about, some of Larkin's most well known poems. Followed by a writing workshop which will be bursting with inspiration.'

Tickets £35. Find out more about the workshop and book a place at Some Dappled Park: A Poetry Writing Workshop or Philip Larkin Society
