Festive Christmas Jumper competition launches at East Riding Libraries
Fri 25th November 2022Young visitors to East Riding Libraries could win a brand new Christmas book by entering a festive competition to design a Christmas jumper.
Children or their families simply need to download an entry form and print it at home, or collect one at any East Riding Library. They then use the template to design their best – or worst – Christmas jumper.
Librarian Jess McCarthy said : “This is a great chance to draw your own design, colour it in, stick pom poms on it – or do anything you want!”
All creations must be returned by Wednesday, 14 December for a chance to win a new Christmas book.
There are two age groups in the competition : entrants aged 0-6 can win ‘What the Ladybird Heard at Christmas’, a new rhyming book, and those aged 7-12 can win ‘Operation Nativity’, a hilarious tale of the ultimate Christmas adventure.
Winners will be chosen by a vote of East Riding librarians, and prizes must be collected from an East Riding Library branch or mobile.
Jess McCarthy added : “We can’t wait to receive lots of entries, and we are really looking forward to seeing how creative our East Riding families can be! And, of course, it gives us the chance to do our favourite thing: share books!”
