Local dementia-friendly theatre company Smashing Mirrors Theatre are delighted to be teaming up with Parkway Cinema Beverley this February to bring their show “Mike and Millie’s Winter Wonderland” to the stage on the 25th February at 10:30am!
Having toured nationally with their successful dementia-friendly show the company will perform in Beverley for the first time with their winter-memories reminiscence show for those with later-stage dementia.
Developed with support from Hull University, Falmouth University, NHS teaching and HOME theatre in Manchester, this show enables those living with dementia to still come along and enjoy the theatre, in a welcome and accessible environment.
Smashing Mirrors is so excited to be working with Parkway Beverley, who have a long track record of supporting dementia-friendly events, and have dementia-friendly staff on site.
So, join Mike and Millie on a day trip to the 1960s. Using music, dance, mime and rhyme, the performers from Smashing Mirrors Theatre Company provoke memories and stimulate interaction in a safe and comfortable setting. Join Mike and Millie as they explore a snowy world of icicles, sledging and songs by the fire. And of course, there will be a cup of tea!
Tickets are £5 and include a cup of tea and biscuits: https://beverley.parkwaycinemas.co.uk/mike-and-millies-winter-wonderland
