Les's Change of Career - at 49!

Les Tobbell had served 23 years in the military and then worked in Security Management when he decided that his love of helping people to get fit was something he wanted to do full-time. Now he’s a Personal Trainer at Anytime Fitness and couldn’t be happier!

Les has had the kind of military career that many people only read about in books. He spent 6 years training Elite Forces, served in several operational tours in many countries, including protecting high profile clients and performing armed security manoeuvres whilst in the Indian Ocean, before retiring as a Warrant Officer. He also worked as a Personal Training Instructor running gyms and taking a variety of lessons.

Back in Beverley, Les was delighted to find that Anytime Fitness had opened a gym - he applied for a job and, with his background and skills, was snapped up! His personal mantra of ‘train hard - fight easy’ translates well into the ethos of Anytime Fitness, of getting their members to a healthier place. Les takes an immense pride in everything he does, including his own personal fitness; his military training has contributed to maintaining this goal and that’s the kind of motivational level he can bring to people training at Anytime Fitness’ gym. Additionally, Les holds a Boxing Coach License. He boxed in the Army and is looking forward to bringing Boxing Circuits, Bootcamps and other boxing-related activities to Anytime Fitness. As he says, boxing can bring great results to fitness levels for clientele and although classes can be hard work, are great fun!

Les has only every worked with highly-professional and competent companies, full of people with drive and determination who only want the best for their clients and staff. Such an attitude enhances everyone’s performance, confidence and self-esteem. Everyone has to start somewhere and Les is as determined for his clients as he is for himself. If you need encouragement and motivation to get fit, Les is your man; if you need a trainer with the skills to help you reach that unattainable goal then why not drop in to Anytime Fitness to see Les? Les could be that special person who increases your performance, confidence and self-esteem to reach the seemingly impossible! Anytime Fitness is located at Flemingate, is open 24/7 and looks forward to welcoming you!
