Brook Taverner - THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER

We at 35 Toll Gavel have been thoroughly enjoying the last days of summer. Whether that’s days out at the races, staycations or just enjoying the simple freedoms that have come with the loosening of restrictions!

Though it hasn’t been a scorching August, we have a newfound appreciation for getting out and enjoying the world around us, never forgetting to do it stylishly of course... Leisure and relaxation aside, it has been a busy month for us too! Our clearance sale went into full swing, with locals and tourists alike flocking to enjoy reduced products of the spring/summer season.

You can still enjoy superb reductions across various product categories in store and online before we transition into our Autumn/Winter Collection, like having any 3 of our clearance shirts for just £55 or enjoying up to 55% off on hundreds of products!

The entire team is eagerly awaiting the launch of our brand-new Autumn/Winter Collection! As temperatures begin to drop, we will all need to be stylishly equipped to conquer the elements and layer up with handsome garments to keep the chills at bay. The Faldo Cord Jacket in mustard will do just that, providing the best of both worlds with its lightweight composition and insulating properties, not to mention its fantastic colour which is a fundamental tone of this season’s collection.

Corduroy can give an outfit such texture and depth, and endless fun can be had pairing the various warm, autumnal hues of our new collection together. It’s the smartness of this jacket that reminds us of the joy of dressing up for sorely missed winter events, like bonfire night or going to watch the rugby on a frosty morning - we’re looking forward to having a winter with much more to do!

As we do enter the colder the months, the priority for any man’s wardrobe will be finding the perfect transitional garments to make the change from summer to autumn as comfortable as possible! A perfect example is the Kerswell Moleskin Trouser. With 2% added elastane for stretch, the Kerswell moves with you for optimum flexibility and comfort throughout the day.

Moleskin itself is an ideal winter staple, as it bridges the gap between casual and formal, allowing for an ultra-cosy staple that can be worn to the office and events alike, or simply around the house at the weekend. Featuring stone, berry, ginger, olive and navy, the colour palette’s versatility knows no bounds, giving you dozens of options to colour match with the rest of our fantastic garments!

Our moleskin trousers happen to pair perfectly with our brand- new brushed cotton tartan and check shirts! These are the staples missing from your winter wardrobe, with patterns and colours instantly bringing your mind to the festive season, making them an ideal gift or simply a winter warmer for yourself. The sheer insulating properties of brushed cotton are indulgence personified, providing that extra bit of warmth when temperatures threaten to get sub-zero! In elegant greens, reds and whites, you couldn’t ask for a more quintessentially wintry wardrobe wonder!

We in Beverley hope you have had an amazing summer of seeing friends and loved ones, enjoying a bit of sun here and there and hopefully returning to some sense of normality after what has been a very difficult 18 months! We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for our latest collection, and we’ll see you very soon!

Many thanks, The Brook Taverner Team.
