BEVERLEY AC - Couch to 5k and Walkington 10k return!

The Beverley AC are delighted to announce that the Couch to 5k programme returns with a new 13-week programme ready to start on Monday 17th May. Unlike the last cohort who undertook the programme virtually, the programme will run on Monday evenings, meeting on the Westwood at the top of Westwood Road. The programme is ideal for new runners, or if you are returning from injury or a break from running, it’s the perfect way to get back into running.

Further details can be found on the Beverley AC website – www.beverleyathleticclub.co.uk which gives the link to sign up - www.beverleyathleticclub.co.uk/?page_id=35403.

If you, or any friends and family, are interested, you are invited to sign up and go along.

Great news, too, that entries are now open for Specsavers Walkington 10k and the fun run! This event is due to take place on the evening of Friday 9th July. Always an extremely popular event, you can read more about the event and enter on the Beverley AC website – www.beverleyathleticclub.co.uk.

Finally, it’s great to have results of actual events to celebrate and here is a summary of recent achievements:

The Grim Up North “I do like to be beside the seaside” half marathon – Simon Shiels – 1:45:47

York 5k even splits – Lucas Meagor – 00:19:12
