Pancake Race

Time to enter your teams for the Beverley Pancake Race this Sunday

The ‘Big Beverley Pancake Race’ is back again.

Calling all pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, businesses and groups - come and support your community - all teams are welcome, round up a team of four willing pancake tossers and join up, (preferably in fancy dress) to compete in the ‘Big Beverley Community Charity Pancake Race’ to be held in Butcher Row and Wednesday Market starting with registration at 11am, following with the first race at 11.30am on Sunday 23rd February 2020.

The event is organised by Beverley Town Council in partnership with the Rotary Club of Beverley and is aimed at raising money and raising awareness for local charities, whilst bringing townsfolk and businesses together to celebrate an old custom of the town, bringing the community together for some seasonal cheer.

The Main sponsor for this year’s event is Lakeland, who will fund the organisation of the race, entertainment, signage and trophy.

A mascot race will take place led by Bertie Beaver. There will be pancakes and family entertainer on hand to entertain from 11am. Teams and spectators are most welcome to come along and enjoy the races.

We are encouraging local businesses to enter teams and residents to come out in force to Wednesday Market to share in the fun and support them’’.
