Christmas Festival Of Food And Drink

This Saturday, 23rd November, is the eighth Beverley Christmas Festival of Food and Drink!

Open between 10am and 4pm, the Festival will feature a wide range of stalls (over 60 in fact!) offering beautiful local produce from the some of the best producers of food and drink the East Riding of Yorkshire has to offer. The host of artisan products available to buy extends from beers and stronger tipples, through delicacies and savouries such as indulgent cheeses to speciality chocolate.

Once again, the Festival will be take place inside Beverley Minster, the architectural masterpiece we are so fortunate to have on our doorstep; in addition there will be a selection of medieval-style performances to set the atmosphere, including sets by the Beverley Ukulele Band, and the All for One Choir.

Both the Mayor of Beverley Cllr Duncan Jack and Town Clerk, Helen Watson were anticipating the upcoming event. Cllr Duncan Jack said: “This will be a great festive food festival in the Minster. Again, we are delighted to be working in partnership with Beverley Minster to hold this prestigious local food event, which each year has gone from strength to strength. It helps to showcase the large variety and high quality of local food the area has to offer, whilst also showing the Minster in all its glory. The event brings in many residents and visitors to enjoy the festival day and see this magnificent building for themselves. It’s also an important event which helps to raise funds for the future of the Minster.”

Town Clerk, Helen Watson said: “Beverley Town Council welcomes residents and visitors to this festive seasonal local produce event. It promotes the best of Beverley and the high quality of local food and drink on offer in our area. We would encourage people of all ages to attend, as there will be lots to see and do, as well as stocking up delicious local fare and buying gifts for Christmas. It’s also a great opportunity to come and visit the Minster and their wonderful gift shop and craft stalls.”
