Sandra celebrates 30 years at SSAFA

On Wednesday 16th October 2019 Mrs Sandra Staples, East Yorkshire Branch Secretary of SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity, was awarded her 30 year certificate for voluntary work with SSAFA by HM Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire the Hon. Dame Susan Cunliffe- Lister, DCVO and Lieutenant General Sir Gary Robert Coward, KBE, CB, Chairman of SSAFA.

The event took place at The Beverley Arms Hotel were a wonderful lunch was laid on. A further 18 very special guests were invited by the Chair of the East Yorkshire Branch, Michael H. Menzies-Baird, who said that Sandra Staples was an amazing person with an incredible work ethic of which any employer would be proud to have within the team.

SSAFA are very lucky to have such a wonderful individual onboard. Sandra has extraordinary talent and aims to set an example to others by giving up her time to help those in need within the Armed Forces Community (Navy, Royal Marines, RAF, Army, Reserves and their families) whether serving or veterans, on a daily basis.

Volunteers such as Sandra are very special. SSAFA needs to celebrate such momentous events as this.
