NEW TAI CHI CLASSES AT ANYTIME FITNESS

Tai Chi

Martial Arts Master, Glen Jenkins, who teaches Wu-style Tai Chi Chuan which is renowned for its defence application as well as health benefits is now bringing the opportunity to practice this authentic, age-old art to Beverley.

Glen began training in martial arts at the age of twelve and holds black belts and teaching qualifications in several disciplines. He trained both in Europe and the United States, receiving tuition from instructors of the highest calibre and absorbing a wide range of knowledge. Glen’s practice has evolved into teaching the therapeutic exercise systems of Tai Chi and Qigong. Qigong means ‘energy work’ - it’s an exercise which integrates the mind, body and spirit, releasing physical, mental and emotional blockages, rejuvenating the body, reducing stress and boosting natural healing capacities. He uses the
concepts of both arts and his acquired skills to promote their health and martial benefits.

The Wuji programme which Glen has created offers physical exercises and hands on treatment with the aim of promoting well-being through energetic balance and structural integration. The programme offers continuous development and classes are structured for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Fleur Duke is one of Glen’s students. She said: “The benefits of Tai Chi and Qigong are immeasurable. As someone who lives in Beverley, I’m delighted that Glen will now be working from
Anytime Fitness which will enable more people to experience his teaching and learn more about these
skills.”

Classes begin on Monday September 10th at Anytime Fitness, Flemingate at 6.30pm. They cost £6 per class (£3 for members of Anytime Fitness gym). 01482 247100
