CHARITY DOG-WALKS HEAD OUT FROM THE TIGER EVERY 1ST SUNDAY

The Tiger Inn’s popular walks raise money for charity and introduce dog owners (and their dogs) to each other, providing an opportunity for socialising and growing a social network.

What could be better than heading out with your best friend and other like-minded people for a 30-45 minute walk around Beverley and then back for refreshments in probably the most dog-friendly pub in the town whilst at the same time raising money for charity? If this appeals to you and your pooch, then head down to the Tiger Inn on Lairgate on the first Sunday of the month where Allen Slinger, Manager of the Tiger and his rescue dog, Mac, a cream Labrador, adopted from Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Gilberdyke, will be there to say hello! Allen asks for £1/dog as a donation to his ‘House Charities’ tin. The popular pub supports 7 charities, including Jerry Green and Guide Dogs.

He’s raised almost £1000 already this year. His experience of fund-raising has demonstrated that he can raise more by supporting a group of charities than by just concentrating on one as it increases awareness of all the charities and people become more generous. The other charities include Beverley Community Lift; Macmillan; Beverley Ladies’ Netball and Hull City Ladies’ FC. When you get back from your walk, there is water and treats for the dogs and tea and coffee for their walkers, all free, but donations to the charity tin are most welcome. The next walk is May 6th. No booking required - just turn up!
