Ert Another Wonderful Day Celebrating Our Lovely Town

East Riding Theatre are enjoying another wonderful day celebrating our lovely town. We enjoyed yet more beautiful artwork by Saskia Berkin. To see more prints from Saskia visit www.saskiaberkin.com

We were also treated to an array of fantastic original poetry by Mary Aherne, a brief introduction to Beverley Races from Malcolm Tomlinson, and an insight into some of 'The Extraordinary Women of Beverley'. Margaret Powell descended from some infamous architects, Margaret helped save many of Beverley's historic buildings and Nellie Collinson once the owner of The White Horse Inn, now affectionately known in the town as Nellies.

If all the artwork we've been featuring online has inspired you to get arty then why not join ERT's Artist-In-Residence Emma Garness here?

Your artwork can be made with any materials of your choosing. There is no age limit and the page is child friendly. Upload your photos to https://www.facebook.com/artandert

Art can help in some small way find our head space, think of it as a creative page to share your artwork - no matter how experienced you are. Beginners are most welcome. Looking forward to seeing what everyone has been creating, its good to share!

Our Bake-Off inspired theme Brilliant Baking this Sunday 24th

If you have poems, artwork, or even favourite family recipes related to 'baking' email sue@eastridingtheatre.co.uk by 20th May. The following Sunday will be themed around Puppets in celebration of The Beverley Puppet Festival.

And while we're here don't forget ...

SHE PRODUCTIONS will be spending the week talking about #KINDNESS with 3pm stories live on facebook. And maybe a few kindness challenges to spread some joy!

We are getting super excited for the debut of Operation 25 by Laura Turner this Thursday 21st at 6pm on facebook. Just to let you in on a snippet we have a short trailer to get you in the mood, featuring Louise Willoughby and Laura Mould. Enjoy!

A wry, new, six part radio drama from John Godber, which takes place over breakfast in the kitchen of a Yorkshire family. Tension, comedy, and burnt toast whilst they wrestle with the realities of Lockdown UK. The ERT will be sharing episode two this Friday 22nd May at 2pm.
