A special thank you to the loyal audiences from Beverley & East Riding Early Music Festival

Join them for a free concert online – 1pm Saturday 30 May

The Beverley EM Festival may be postponed for a year – but there are still reasons to celebrate with a free concert to be shared online featuring the acclaimed European Union Baroque Orchestra. Join in on  1pm Saturday 30 May.

Entitled Betrayal & Betrothal, the concert features the music of Handel and Bach and was first heard at the Festival’s administrative home in York in March 2017.  Members of this acclaimed orchestra come from across Europe and are led by harpsichordist Lars Ulrik Mortensen, with soprano soloist Maria Keohane.

Delma Tomlin MBE, Director of the Festival said: “We were so disappointed not be able to present a festival in Beverley this year. The East Riding of Yorkshire Council and festival audiences have all been very supportive of our decision, and we wanted to share something back to say thank you.  This fabulous concert was broadcast by BBC Radio 3 and shared with audiences world-wide.  Tune in via our Facebook page @yorkearlymusic or join us via our website www.ncem.co.uk/earlymusiconline
