Our Criminal Ancestors: Crime, Policing and Punishment

Dr Helen Johnston (Hull University) and Prof Heather Shore (Leeds Beckett University) are running this study day for people who wish to learn how to use historical crime, policing and punishment records to search for relatives who may have historically encountered the criminal justice system, whether they be an accused, a victim, a witness, a prisoner, a police officer or a prison officer.
