Crematoriums will be able to accommodate more mourners:

Lewis Northen Funeral Directors, Beverley, are delighted to announce that from Monday 17th May, the following crematoriums will be able to accommodate the following number of mourners:

  • - The Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby - 40 mourners
  • - Chanterlands Crematorium (Large Chapel) - 50 mourners
  • - The East Riding Crematorium, Octon - 70 mourners

Lewis Northen Funeral Directors are welcoming the positive news and preparing to cater for the new funeral arrangements while ensuing everyone is kept safe. Face masks will still be mandatory while inside the crematorium, and social distancing guidelines still need to be followed.
These changes are hopefully another step towards normality at funeral services, and will allow grieving families and friends to come together to pay respects to their loved ones.
The limit on the number of mourners allowed at funerals will remain restricted until the social distancing measures are no longer being advised by the government. Lewis Northen Funeral Directors will give an update on local churches when they have the information.
