Tour de Yorkshire roadshows to be held for businesses and communities in Bridlington and Beverley

Businesses, community groups and members of the public in the Bridlington and Beverley area who are interested in getting involved in the 2020 Tour de Yorkshire are being invited to a free roadshow.

Race organisers Welcome to Yorkshire, supported by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, will be hosting roadshows in both towns ahead of this year’s event.

For people in Bridlington, the roadshow will be held at Bridlington Spa on Thursday, 5 March between 5.30pm and 7pm while for those in the Beverley area, the event will take place on Thursday, 12 March at East Riding Leisure Beverley between 6pm and 8pm.

This year’s Tour de Yorkshire will start in Beverley on Thursday, 30 April and will go through Tickton, Leven, Catwick, Sigglesthorne, Seaton, Hornsea, Atwick, Skipsea, Beeford, Lissett, Bridlington, Sewerby, Marton, Flamborough, Bempton and Buckton and head along the coast to the finish in Redcar.

The roadshows will include a short presentation, detailed information on the route, advice on how to make the most of the event as well as an opportunity to ask questions of representatives from Welcome to Yorkshire and the council.

Councillor Richard Burton, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire said: “This is a great opportunity to come along and find out more about what is happening in your local area and how you can get behind the event and support the race on the day.”
