Beverley Town Council are organising the Great Get Together for the 3rd year as inspired by Jo Cox.  The team at the Great Get Together believe there is a groundswell of people who simply want to bring our communities together and celebrate all that unites us and celebrate our commonality.  This is our chance for Beverley Town Council to bring residents and visitors together in Coronation Gardens on North Bar Within and celebrate our great community.

Newly elected Councillors of Beverley Town Council warmly invite residents and visitors to the ‘Great Get Together’ on Saturday 22nd June from 11am-4pm, where they are supporting the nationwide event which promotes the community to come back together to celebrate with storytelling, music and dance.   Inspired by the White Rabbit of St Marys Church, we will take on an Alice in wonderland Mad Hatter Tea Party theme, also complemented with Morris Dancing and acoustic music, kindly supplied by the Beverley Fringe Folk Festival.

It’s going to be The Great Get Together, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatters Pop up Picnic Tea and Folk Dance Party and we’d love you to be a part of it, just bring your picnic and friends and join in.

The Mayor of Beverley, Cllr Duncan Jack said,   “We’re inviting residents and visitors to get together within their community to share food and celebrate all that we hold in common. The Pop up Picnic venue will be in Coronation Gardens in North Bar Within.  We are encouraging families to come and enjoy this community day.   There will be lots of musical and family entertainment, dance and storytelling   on offer, so pack up your picnic and come down and enjoy the day.’’
